City of Napa Water Division Asset Data Inventory

When I joined the Water Division at the City of Napa, one of my primary tasks was to survey water division assets (such as water meter, water valve, and water line locations) with a Trimble R10 to build out the Water Division asset data inventory. As part of the survey process, I collected descriptive information about each point and incorporated that information into an enterprise geodatabase that the City integrated with Lucity, an asset management program.

This engineering-grade dataset served as an up-to-date source of information for field crews to use in their work.
